Bottle Service

Gratuity

When referring to bottle service, the gratuity in almost always already included.  That being said the amount of the gratuity or auto-grad changes by venue.  At some places it is 18%, other places it is 20%.  Some venues include a service charge that is in addition to the Gratuity.  This service charge is usually between 3 to 5%. This is added to the amount of the revenue minimum.

Nevada Sales Tax

Nevada Sales Tax is 8.1% on the Las Vegas Strip

Live Entertainment Tax (LET)

This is an additional tax on sales at venues that have Live Entertainment.  The Live Entertainment Tax is 10% tax rate that is in addition to the Nevada Sales Tax and the Gratuity. Live Entertainment is defined as any activity provided for pleasure enjoyment, recreation, relaxation, diversion or other similar purpose by a person or persons who are physically present when providing an activity to a patron or group of patrons who are physically present. When it comes to nightlife, anytime that there is music or vocals that are provided by a musician or vocalist or a group of performers / dancers.  For example, Saturday  Labor Day Weekend 2012 at Wet Republic they have Sky Blu of LMFAO performing.   So if you have a $5,000 revenue minimum plus 8.1% Nevada Sales Tax plus the LET 10% tax and the 22% gratuity your total will be $7,005

Revenue Minimum

Revenue minimums when referring to table or bottle service at a nightclub or when you are reserving a daybed or cabana at one of the pool parties in Las Vegas is simple.  The revenue minimum is the amount of money that you have to spend in food & beverage before tax and gratuity. Example:  A Party Cabana at Wet Republic Saturday of Labor Day Weekend  will include tickets for 15 people for entry.  The revenue minimum is $6,000 plus tax and gratuity.  This means that you will need to order any combination of bottles, drinks, beer, food, etc... to reach the 6,000 revenue minimum.  Regardless of whether you reach the minimum or not you WILL be charged it.

Dress Code

Dress Code

Nightclubs Unless you are a celebrity or investor in the nightclub that you are going to then the dress code goes as follows:

Men Pants: proper dress code if you are unsure is nice jeans (That means no holes) regardless of what they cost.  If you are in doubt of the jeans then it is better to just wear dress pants or slacks.

Shoes:  It does not matter the brand or price of the shoes, if you are in Vegas and you are not planning on spending a bunch of money on a table then it is better to be safe then sorry and just wear Black Dress Shoes.

Shirts:  The shirt should be something nice, and by that we mean nothing with sequins or crystals.  Preferably a button down shirt, something with sleeves and a collar.

Accessories:  While this is up to your discretion, the last thing that you should ever be caught dead in in a nightclub is sunglasses.  Hats, while everything is totally up to the discretion of the door guy, there are a couple of types of hats that are okay to wear inside of nightclubs however baseballs caps are definitely NOT on that list.  If you are in doubt it is better to err on the side of caution and just go without the hat.

Woman - The dress code for woman is "stylish dress."  There are so many options for woman, the one thing that we recommend is no flip flops, and PLEASE, PLEASE do not take off your shoes in the nightclub.

Dayclubs & Pool Parties

So the dress code for the day clubs and pool parties are a bit different and while it night seem that there is not a dress code there is.  The worst thing ever is to get all the way to the hotel of the pool that you are going to and getting denied because you are in pants or jeans or cargo shorts.

If you are heading to a pool the best bet is a t-shirt, NOT a beater, a stylish T-Shirt and if you are going to wear pants or shorts MAKE SURE that you have a pair of board shorts or swim trunks under the pants or at least with you otherwise you will be roped into purchasing the logo'd board shorts that all of the venues sell.

This is just an idea of what to and what not to wear to get into a night clubs in Las Vegas, however plus understand that dress code is solely up to the discretion of the
